Gameplay consists of guiding a four-legged creature known as the "Doodler" up an unending series of platforms without falling in an attempt to gain a high score. The character is controlled by tilting the gaming device in the desired direction. In the Blackberry version, direction of the Doodler is determined by tapping in the desired direction. In Doodle Jump , the aim is to guide a four-legged creature called the Doodler up an unending series of platforms without falling.
Players tilt the device from side to side to move the Doodler in the desired direction. Players can get a short boost from various objects, such as propeller hats, jetpacks, rockets, springs or trampolines. There are also monsters that the Doodler has to shoot or jump on to eliminate. You can aim your shot by tapping on different parts of the screen, sending a laser in the direction of your finger. There is no definitive end to the game, but the end for each gameplay happens when you fall by reaching the bottom of the screen , jump into a monster, get sucked into a black hole, or abducted by a UFO.
Also recently added with the latest update was the Easter version, which can be played by entering the name "bunny" for your name. Alternatively, you may put the names of one of the pocket god pygmies for your name, as the Doodler will become one.
Each platform has a unique function and reacts differently when the player jumps on it. The platform colour may differ between different themes. During gameplay, the score — indicated at the top left of the screen — increases as Doodler progresses further. There are local, "friends", and global leaderboards built into the game.
Players can import friends' scores, publish scores online on Facebook and Twitter, and challenge friends. The current world record holder is Charlie Jeffries-Tipton, who managed to achieve a score of 4,, FEATURES - Cavemen world with T-rex, triceratops, falling stones, prehistoric turtles… - Desert world with quicksand, genie, scorpions, desert monsters… - Sleepy world with ba-ba sheep monsters, pillow monsters, fireflies, pillow platforms… - Aviator world with helicopters, jet platforms, propeller platforms… - Space world with moon cheese platforms, platform eating monsters, starships, robots, rocket cyclops… - Rainy world with mud and puddle platforms, rainstorm, raincoat monsters… - Disco world with disco platforms, disco ball monsters….
New in this update - ProMotion support - which means super smooth animations on iPhone 13 Pro devices! One of the most exciting updates ever in the history of Doodle Jump is now available! Our hero takes on the goldmine where the promise of gold nugget bounty comes with the peril of pesky underground monsters whose sole purpose of existence is to mess up your progress!
Again, I am enjoying Doodle Jump 2, I think it could just use some improvements so it functions as well as the other versions of Doodle Jump. It took a bit to adjust to the height gaining difference which was ok but the game mechanics are so frustrating in this version. The new platforms are cool but can be too much all at once.
The amount of traps that occur all at once is ridiculous for a fast moving game. Way too many black holes. The original eases into difficulty way better than this one which just throws you in the deep end where a skilled player can die in the first I suspect that scoring is scaled down 10x but it seems so unnecessary.
This just feels like a stripped down version of the original Doodle Jump with some added animation tweaks. There are only 8 worlds compared to 12 in the original game and most of them have the exact same background and enemies. This feels like they accidentally pushed a beta build to the App Store. Scummy practice from what I assumed to be the last good mobile gaming company out there. Thanks for your feedback. Just like the original Doodle Jump game, we are planning on adding abundance of fun new content in the coming months.
Easter events, endless runner, fast to learn gameplay! I have picked up the game 4-ish days ago and OMG, amazing game. Also not blown up with 30 second ads, meant to be played on the go, after all. This game is awesome. You NEED to get it. The main character is SOO adorable. I love all the characters you can buy.
Although I admit they are a bit expensive. I also like that you can do multiplayer, but I do wish that instead of playing with just one other person you can play with more than one. Unlike some games, so that makes it less annoying. I also have another recommendation, I wish there was a store for space.
That would be great. The game is also super addictive. DoodleJump is a great and simple game. You should definitely download it.
