It is a good thing Vince McMahon hires big guys for their strength and not their oratorical abilities. That is why Lesnar and Paul Heyman are the perfect pair. Heyman is the best non-wrestling talker in the trade. He can do with words what Lesnar does with opponents. If he has something to say, let him say it—just as long as it is not more than five sentences long. Enjoy our content? Paul Heyman knows how to deliver a promo. He has masterminded some of the greatest promos of all time in ECW and was more than likely behind the promo by Brock Lesnar just a few weeks back. Back in , Paul Heyman was supposed to be the mouthpiece for Chris Benoit when he returned to the ring from spinal surgery. However, Brock Lesnar was set to make his debut in WWE, and Benoit was still a few months away from returning to the ring.
WWE was not confident in Brock Lesnar talking on the microphone on his own. Paul Heyman was inserted as the agent and mouthpiece for Brock Lesnar when he debuted. Whether Paul Heyman delivers the promo himself or helps Brock with his verbiage, there is no way Heyman will not improve Brock's ability with a live microphone. I don't think it's surprising to anyone that Brock Lesnar probably has a ton of backstage heat.
Brock did many interviews where he told reporters about life on the road. He even got a gigantic sword tattooed on his chest. The tattoo, with the point directly on Brock's neck, is a constant reminder of how he lived while on the road with WWE. He constantly felt like he could have died at any moment with the amount of substance abuse that took place. In most cases, a superstar would be blackballed for talking in depth about the WWE lifestyle that existed during Brock's first run with the company.
However, a man of Brock's stature won't be affected by those stories. Having a true friend like Paul Heyman on board can give Brock a sense of security. Heyman continued to help Brock through his UFC career by providing press coverage with his own website, Heyman Hustle , and he provided exclusive coverage of the former UFC champion.
Their friendship is one that will last for years to come, and having Heyman on board can only provide a positive atmosphere. Login to post your comment.
